Hi everyone,
I’m starting this thread to ask for suggestions and real opinions on who can benefit from professional book editing service . I’m working on my own book and trying to figure out if editing help is worth it and at what stage it really matters.
From what I see, editing is not only for new writers. I think first-time authors, self-publishers, bloggers turning content into books, and even experienced writers can gain from it. I’m also curious about students, business owners, or coaches who write books to support their work. Do they usually need the same level of editing as novel writers?
I want to understand how people decide they need editing support. Is it after finishing the first draft, or before sending the book to publishers or readers? Also, does editing mainly help with grammar, or does it improve structure and clarity too?
If you’ve used editing help before, I’d really like to know who you think benefits the most and why. Your suggestions will help me and others make better choices.
