Organic extraction methods in cannabis products – do they make a difference?

So I was talking with a buddy about cannabis products, and he mentioned something about “organic extraction” being a big deal. I don’t really get what that means. Like, does it actually change how the product feels or is it more of a marketing thing? I’m mostly curious if it makes edibles safer or better for sleep.
